Introduction

Who Are We?

Saints' SACCO is a fellowship of likeminded Christians that primarily mobilises Savings and extends Credit (Loans) to its members with a view to empower them economically and socially. Our members are drawn from past & present members of All Saints' Cathedral Kampala Church, as well as ALL parishioners within the Kampala Diocese (C.O.U)

Our Background

Saints' Cooperative Savings & Credit Society Ltd has been in existence for 15 years, having been founded by members largely of the Seniors fellowship on 04th April 2009, and subsequently registered on 13th January 2010 by the Ministry of Cooperatives under Registration No. 9130/RCS.

We are domiciled on Plot 4 Lugard Road, Nakasero, and operate a single branch dedicated to serving our members with excellence and integrity.

Governance

Democratic Leadership & Compliance

Transparent governance through regular democratic elections and strict regulatory compliance

Regular Elections

Since inception, SAINTS' SACCO has held regular and democratic elections to replace its leaders at Board level in line with the Bylaws and Cooperatives Societies Act. Our most recent election was held on 05th April 2025.

Regulatory Compliance

The SACCO is governed under rules set out by the Cooperatives Societies Act, Cap 112 and the Cooperatives Regulations of 2024 under the supervision of the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC).

Structured Governance

Our Bylaws enumerate the objective, capital structure, membership, management of the society, Committee (Board), supervisory committee, administrative inquests, and general provisions ensuring accountability at every level.

24/7 Availability

To meet the varied needs of our members, we maintain a 24-hour online presence to approve transactions, loans, and make final decisions on time-sensitive matters, ensuring service excellence round the clock.

15 Years of Excellence

Key milestones that shaped Saints' SACCO

April 4, 2009

Foundation

Saints' SACCO was founded by members largely of the Seniors fellowship from All Saints' Cathedral Kampala Church, establishing a Christian-based financial institution.

January 13, 2010

Official Registration

Officially registered by the Ministry of Cooperatives under Registration No. 9130/RCS, solidifying our legal status and commitment to regulatory compliance.

2021

Board Transition

A new Board was sworn into office following democratic elections, marking another successful leadership transition in line with our Bylaws.

April 5, 2025

Leadership Handover

The outgoing Board, having served four years, was replaced in an AGM election. A celebrated handover of responsibility from one Board to the next on May 25, 2025.
